Only a few days left of 2010 and suddenly I wonder where the year went! Looking back I notice that 2010 had its ups and its downs. One of the positives in my life is continuing to counsel people all over the world using Skype. I love the idea that EFT is now so international. Perhaps someday we will also be working with clients on the moon.
I have noticed that as I age, I am counseling more and more people over 70 who are still wanting to grow and learn about themselves. My oldest client is 96 and still has all her wits about her although her body has slowed down. Aging in the 21st century is a marvelous journey as more and more of us live longer and want to live fuller lives of self awareness.
Thanks to Social Networking I can do my work and share my ideas without leaving home. I bought myself a holiday gift of a video recorder so I can join other You Tube contributors with videos about EFT and The Phoenix Effect Process. I am also plugging away writing an eBook about relationships and expect to create a variety of audios to stream on my website.
Look for my free workshops at Santa Barbara City College in January and March. In addition, I am excited about attending the 2011 ACEP conference in Reston VA June 2-5 where I will be teaching a pre-conference training in The Phoenix Effect Process. I hope to see some of you there.
I wish you a happy and healthy New Year and keep tapping!

A number of years ago I was invited to teach some EFT classes at the local women’s prison. I found it very rewarding and was told that a number of those women benefitted greatly from my sporadic visits. The same woman who set that opportunity up is now involved with the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. She recently asked me to present EFT to a group of people who were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and must attend weekly meetings.
My EFT demonstration the other evening went exceptionally well. I could see that many of the people attending were in denial and some were resentful at having to attend. Once I got everyone going with a basic stress release protocol the group became more attentive. In the brief time we met I was able to take them through a group tapping for anger and also demonstrated the “Tearless Trauma Technique” which always amazes people. You will find the instructions for this in my book, FIve Simple Steps to Emotional Healing.
At the end of the session, the leader asked me to return to work with the mandated group of drug abusers. I can’t wait to get started. I was thrilled to be able to get a chance to have contact with this segment of the local population and look forward to a continuing relationship with this program.
I am fortunate that I live in a small city where it is relatively easy to donate my services. Please look into this opportunity where you live, since we all agree that EFT is an essential tool for changing lives.
