A Valentine GIft For Yourself

by gloria on February 11, 2012

Feb 14th is approaching and thoughts of love are in the air. My latest Ebook, Grownup Love:Getting It and Keeping It, makes a great Valentine’s Day gift for yourself or a loved one. I had to write this book for a number of reasons. The first reason is because I am a veteran Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with over thirty years of experience. I have successfully counseled numerous couples whose relationship was in trouble as well as clients who were trying to figure out why they had no love relationships or were in an unhappy relationship and couldn’t or wouldn’t let it go. Still others were distressed by the realization that they kept choosing the same kind of unsuitable partner over and over again.

The second reason I wrote this book is that not only have I coached people about finding the right relationship, I have also lived most of the same experiences as my clients and know what it feels like from the inside out. I have been widowed, divorced, been attracted to the same type of dysfunctional partners more than once, and have also been in a harmonious marriage for over thirty years. Therefore, I know what it is like to be miserable in love and what it takes to find true and lasting love.

A long time ago I attended a talk given by a relationship specialist who said something that I have never forgotten. He said that the goal for people who want a successful relationship is to achieve Grownup Love. He said: The “having it all” relationship is a relationship between two grownups who have done their own work, and in whom the head, the heart and the genitals are lined up!

What does that mean? What kind of “work” do you have to do in order to attract your perfect love and live happily ever after? This Ebook will take you on a journey of self-exploration and self-transformation. I will direct you in taking an inventory of your life, exploring what lessons you can learn from all your romantic relationships both positive and negative, your beliefs about love and about yourself as a lovable person, and awareness of common patterns that you repeat although they may be painful.

I will teach you to use EFT and the Phoenix Effect Process to heal the past and eliminate negative beliefs that block you from attracting the right mate for you. If you are already in a relationship you will be able to change your negative reactions to your partner as you see yourself in a new and more positive way.

The book is filled with stories of people just like you who used these methods to create love and happiness.I hope that these stories will give you courage to achieve your love goals and enjoy the “having it all” love relationship.

Professionals Can Earn Credit As They Learn

Continuing Education Units for MFTs and LCSWs in California

Learning EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) changed my life personally and professionally as a Marriage and Family Therapist. As a result, I have used it with thousands of people in counseling and classes. I have also written a number of books that teach you how to learn EFT and how to apply it to treat specific negative and self-defeating behaviors.

As a Continuing Education Provider I am now able to bring this information to you in the form of books, eBooks, audio books, audio classes, Mp3s, CDs and DVDs. You will now be able to read, listen to or view the information at your own pace and earn CE Units as you do.
You can choose from the following:

EFT FROM A TO Z is a 10 hour CD audio class in which you will learn this simple but powerful energy meridian method and become skilled at using it in your practice when treating stress, anxiety, fear, phobias, addictive cravings, traumatic memories, PTSD, self defeating behaviors, negative beliefs and more. In addition you will receive a free one-hour consult with me by phone or Skype.

The award winning FIVE SIMPLE STEPS TO EMOTIONAL HEALING: THE LAST SELF HELP BOOK YOU WILL EVER NEED, is a basic EFT primer that takes you through the steps of learning the meridian tapping technique in a clear and easy way. Specific protocols for treating many common emotional problems are included as well as examples from cases.

DESSERTS IS STRESSED SPELLED BACKWARDS and HOW TO STOP PLAYING THE WEIGHTING GAME deal with overcoming compulsive overeating and bulimia. I have specialized in treating eating disorders for thirty years and provide a unique and different approach to help clients become empowered to change their behavior.

BORN TO SPEND provides a powerful EFT approach for controlling compulsive spending and debting. Shopaholics and overspenders often lives of quiet desperation. This compulsive habit has led many to embezzle, steal and go bankrupt. This book offers insight into this devastating behavior and can benefit both the spender and the family or friends who are also affected.

The information in EFT FOR PROCRASTINATION makes clear that putting things off is not just a bad habit but also a way of avoiding fear that can result in misery and failure. This EFT program gets to the heart of the problem once and for all.

GROWNUP LOVE: GETTING IT AND KEEPING IT is a workbook for people who want to attract a healthy relationship or improve the one they are in. It also includes ways to use The Phoenix Effect Process to resolve the long term issues that erode loving feelings.

How to Be a Sexy Senior Citizen

February 5, 2011

One night I was watching a very old black and white film from the 1940’s and noticed that graying, older actors were portraying characters who were supposed to be in their fifties. Fifty was considered old age back then. Of course back in the 40’s Botox hadn’t been invented and not as many women colored [...]
