A number of years ago I was invited to teach some EFT classes at the local women’s prison. I found it very rewarding and was told that a number of those women benefitted greatly from my sporadic visits. The same woman who set that opportunity up is now involved with the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. She recently asked me to present EFT to a group of people who were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and must attend weekly meetings.
My EFT demonstration the other evening went exceptionally well. I could see that many of the people attending were in denial and some were resentful at having to attend. Once I got everyone going with a basic stress release protocol the group became more attentive. In the brief time we met I was able to take them through a group tapping for anger and also demonstrated the “Tearless Trauma Technique” which always amazes people. You will find the instructions for this in my book, FIve Simple Steps to Emotional Healing.
At the end of the session, the leader asked me to return to work with the mandated group of drug abusers. I can’t wait to get started. I was thrilled to be able to get a chance to have contact with this segment of the local population and look forward to a continuing relationship with this program.
I am fortunate that I live in a small city where it is relatively easy to donate my services. Please look into this opportunity where you live, since we all agree that EFT is an essential tool for changing lives.
