We have just celebrated the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic 100 years ago. All the ballyhoo reminds me of a saying that is common in the Twelve Step groups where members talk about “Changing deck chairs on the Titanic.” What that means is that an “addict” goes from one type of substance or behavior to another.
